Louvre (2012)
In 2012, the Louvre Museum dedicated a solo exhibition entitled Rémanence to Jean-Baptiste Huynh, inviting him to take a contemporary look at the museum's collections.
"Jean-Baptiste Huynh chose to transcribe his journey through the Louvre in all its universality through this sensitive and intimate inventory. Each work, resized by photography, is thus put into orbit, placed in levitation, exalted in its grandeur, like a cult object imposing meditation." - Henri Loyrette, President and Director of the Louvre Museum.
The exhibition is accompanied by the book Lumière, designed by the artist, which brings together his research on light as energy, matter, reflection, and mystery, conducted between 2007 and 2012.
