Flower Children (2021-2022)

Living in immersion with an ethnic group in Ethiopia’s Omo Valley during the lockdown, Jean-Baptiste Huynh bears witness to the pursuit of beauty by a people living beyond time, in harmony with nature.
Each day, men, women, and children adorn themselves with flowers, pigments, and birds, merging their faces with natural elements, transforming into living tableaux.
A daily performance where self-image is offered without mirrors, seen only through the gaze of another — a tribute to original beauty.
