Intime Infini 1998
For his encounter with this country, with whom he shares half of his heritage, Jean-Baptiste Huynh designed a highly personal photographic and editorial project, INTIME INFINI, which contrasts and combines the intimate envelope of the skin with the infinite envelope of the sky. This work contains many crucial, recurrent themes that the artist continued to develop in his career over the following twenty years across a multitude of countries, including the study of the face throughout different age ranges (HUYEN), the study of hands, and dusk.
“Bringing skin and sky into resonance, travelling from the most intimate to the infinite, from the singular to the universal, from mortal to immortal. Unveiling the possibilities of the impossible, reaching for conciliation like a hand outstretched towards the absolute, cutting through the space between shadow and light.” Emmanuel Fessy
